What is Tae Kwon Do?
Tae Kwon Do is a Korean martial art of hand and foot fighting. It is a true martial art, originating over 2000 years ago. Although it is known for its aggressive offensive attacks, the martial artist is taught never to instigate a fight and to walk away whenever possible. Those who practice Tae Kwon Do are taught to adhere to the Five Tenets of Tae Kwon Do, whose principles are intended to build character and promote a civilized society:
